This policy applies to mdb.sliiu.app, the online web app at edit.mdb.sliiu.app, and related download channels and support email we operate.

Third-party sites we link to have their own policies. Image hosting vendors involved in uploads—including the preconfigured default host and any host you configure—are governed by their policies; below we explain what we may handle when integrating those features.

Depending on how you use MD Beautify:

• Markdown content: processed locally by default; we do not upload full documents to our servers to provide editing
• Image files: if you upload images in the online web app, selected files are sent through integrated image-host APIs to generate URLs for your Markdown. With the preconfigured default host, the third-party vendor receives, stores, and serves the files under its policy; with a host you configure, images are sent under that vendor's terms and we do not store your credentials on our servers
• Technical data: IP address, device/browser, OS, timestamps, paths, referrer, and coarse location derived from IP
• Communications: emails and attachments you send us
• Cookies and storage: language, theme, legal and cookie consent records; analytics cookies after consent (Baidu Analytics in China, Google Analytics globally)

We process information for the purposes below on legal bases such as contract, legitimate interests, consent, or legal obligation:

• Provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service (including integrated image-host APIs to help generate image links)
• Respond to support and send necessary service notices
• Run aggregated analytics via consented analytics cookies when you consent (see Cookies and similar technologies)
• Comply with law and protect rights

MD Beautify core software is open source (MIT and related licenses). You may review, build, and run desktop, Obsidian, or web clients yourself.

Open-source clients run locally on your device and do not upload Markdown to our servers by default; we are not responsible for custom builds you operate.

The online web app at edit.mdb.sliiu.app may include a preconfigured third-party default image host; you can also set a custom host in settings. The default host is operated by that third party; custom-host credentials stay in your browser.

This marketing site at mdb.sliiu.app may use analytics after consent to improve the site; see Cookies and similar technologies.

We do not sell personal information. We may share when:

• You consent
• Transmission of images to the third-party image-host vendor you use or that is preconfigured in the product, to generate accessible links (handled by that vendor under its policy)
• Processors under contract need data to help us (hosting, email, analytics)
• Law or valid government request requires it
• Needed to protect rights, safety, or property
• Business transfer with continued protection

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as law requires.

Images uploaded via the preconfigured default host are retained, deleted, and served by that third party under its terms. We do not keep long-term copies and cannot guarantee permanent links; do not use the default host for content that must be kept long-term or is highly sensitive.

After deletion requests by email, we handle data we directly control within a reasonable period unless retention is legally required.

We operate a global Service. Your information may be processed in any country where we or our providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your residence. See Region-specific notices for local deployment details.

When we transfer personal data across borders, we implement appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.

We use HTTPS, access controls, and measures appropriate to risk.

No method of transmission is 100% secure—protect your device and clear local data on shared devices.

Essential storage remembers language (app-locale), theme, and your choices about these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and cookies.

Non-essential analytics cookies load only after consent, enabling Google Analytics under Google LLC under https://policies.google.com/privacy. We enable IP anonymization where supported where supported.

Decline non-essential cookies on the banner or withdraw via footer settings; we stop loading analytics afterward.

Browser controls may also block cookies; some features may be affected.

Where applicable law grants them (e.g., GDPR, UK GDPR, certain US state laws, PIPEDA, LGPD, or other local privacy laws), you may:

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.

Users under 14 need express guardian consent and supervision and should not submit personal information.

If we learn we collected a child's data without guardian consent, we will delete it promptly.

You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service and your Content comply with laws where you live and where Content is used, including privacy, intellectual property, and export rules.

We may disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary.

We may update this policy with a new version and effective date on this page. Material changes may be announced on the site and may require renewed consent where required by law.
